Nihonzashi has developed a line of diamond finger stones designed to polish the surface of a blade. We mount flexible diamond abrasive on a thin bamboo sheet. We use a foam layer allowing the abrasive to conform with the curved surface of a sword. The 1" x 2" finger stones can be used for many swords without dulling. Metal backed diamond abrasives aggressively remove material and resin based diamond abrasives polish the surface.
Resin based diamond finger stones come rough and must be surfaced using water stones. We use 220 and 1200 grit stones to prepare them before and while using them.
We offer a full line of training equipment and services. We are a one stop shop for your training and collecting needs. We offer training, sharpening, and repair in addition to a full line of iaito and shinken. Check out our DIY guides useful data on maintaining or upgrading your swords. Buy from a company that can do more than just ship you a sword.

When one sword is just not enough - Nihonzashi
Sherry & Mike Femal,
Sherry and Mike started Nihonzashi in 2006 so their students of Toyama Ryu would have a consistent supply of uniforms, swords and tatami mats. We have enjoyed growing the business to what it is today and are proud to be known worldwide for our custom products and services. Sherry and Mike created and custom make all of the gekken swords we ship around the world. Also, Mike is fulfiling his dream of expanding his custom weapons to include knives. We look forward to what the future brings and what new creations are on the horizon.
