Kami Wakizashi. Back from 2005 Production!
The Kami Wakizashi has a hand-forged and folded K120C powder steel blade, featuring a hand engraved “Fudo” Horomono and Bo-Hi. The folding process creates exceptional hada, or grain pattern, along the blade and is accentuated by the distinctive hamon. The Saya is deeply lacquered in red, with a black ring-carved section at the mouth. The ray skin used on the tsuka is of the highest quality, and the tsuka-ito and sageo are woven from best quality Japanese silk. The Fuchi, Kashira, Kojiri, Koiguchi and Kurigata are all made from blackened bronze, with decoration in relief and selective detailing of copper, silver and gold. The Tsuba, which depicts the Kami, or Guardian Warriors, is crafted in hardened blackened copper with decoration in relief and selective silver and gold detailing. The Habaki is of two-piece construction, the inner section being copper and the outer section gold-plated brass.

When one sword is just not enough - Nihonzashi
Sherry & Mike Femal,
Sherry and Mike started Nihonzashi in 2006 so their students of Toyama Ryu would have a consistent supply of uniforms, swords and tatami mats. We have enjoyed growing the business to what it is today and are proud to be known worldwide for our custom products and services. Sherry and Mike created and custom make all of the gekken swords we ship around the world. Also, Mike is fulfiling his dream of expanding his custom weapons to include knives. We look forward to what the future brings and what new creations are on the horizon.
