Japanese swords, equipment, custom knives and more. Our focus is supporting students of the sword and providing high quality functional swords and a full line of accessories. If you study iaido, battodo, kenjutsu, or any other form of Japanese swordsmanship - this is the place for you.
The Tetsubo or Kanabo is a Japanese war club used by the strongest samurai. It is often associated with the mythical oni. Our handmade octagon Tetsubo is made of laminated oak slabs embedded with steel rivets. This massive weapon weighs over 10 lbs. These tetsubo are custom made to your specifications. This is the Kanabo shown on Spike TV Deadliest Warriors. After seeing the slow motion video, we have worked to improve the mounting of the steel rivets. After testing several methods (and losing a lot of rivets), our latest test showed rivet retention going from 0% to 100%. This change has made this a truly functional weapon of awesome proportions!
We offer a full line of training equipment and services. We are a one stop shop for your training and collecting needs. We offer training, sharpening, and repair in addition to a full line of iaito and shinken. Buy from a company that can do more than just ship you a sword.
Discounted Prices (normally 15% to 40% off of retail) 90 Day Money Back Guarantee.
When one sword is just not enough - Nihonzashi
Sherry & Mike Femal,
Sherry and Mike started Nihonzashi in 2006 so their students of Toyama Ryu would have a consistent supply of uniforms, swords and tatami mats. We have enjoyed growing the business to what it is today and are proud to be known worldwide for our custom products and services. Sherry and Mike created and custom make all of the gekken swords we ship around the world. Also, Mike is fulfiling his dream of expanding his custom weapons to include knives. We look forward to what the future brings and what new creations are on the horizon.
